Helio Ascari 1940s WWII Air Corps Sunglasses

Extremely rare in their own right, these WWII Army Air Corps glasses by the CESCO company of Chicago have an incredible amount of detailed etching and relief work on the rim edge, bridge and other areas.

Given Ascari's passion for vintage, these glasses were an exceptional candidate for his attention to detail. The temple pieces are wrapped in Italian leather and finished with beautiful handmade bronze details at both ends. They are a beautiful study in function and design.
