From WWII Navy service members to turn of the century Union Pacific Railway workers, the chambray shirt has over a century’s worth of hard-wearing service. We love the chambray shirt for its versatility and durability but wanted to expand the color palette beyond the classic blue.
Enter the Butler. Dyed in our exclusive Driftwood, the earthy gray-brown color is as classic and versatile as the traditional blue. The Butler retains all the details of a classic chambray shirt. We used a Japanese cotton chambray with a lovely irregular slub and a selvedge edge. The selvedge edge runs the length of the interior front placket and adorns the bottom the side seam gussets.
Triple needle stitching was used on the side seams, arm holes, arms and back yoke for extra durability. For an additional detail, the interior back yoke is stitched with olive colored thread. The traditional front workwear pockets have reinforced bar tacks at the corners in subtle olive thread.
